WHY EVERY KITCHEN DESERVES A SAVERNAKE KNIFE
A sharply worded heads-up from me on kitchen knives: You need at least one, just a single, glorious, well-made, exquisitely sharp, British-manufactured knife, preferably personally engraved, made on the edge of a Wiltshire forest with balance, geometry, comfort, sharpness, weight and precision front of mind. And thus a knife called Savernake. And thanks to me you can get 12.5% off. Use SITWELL at checkout and bring a moment of emotional pride every time you slice

RESTAURANT OF THE MONTH
THE LOST KITCHEN, DEVON
My heart swells with admiration for the endeavours revealed within a barn on the edge of Tiverton in mid-Devon. The Lost Kitchen has a menu more redolent of Shoreditch than South-West England and oozes comely warmth and flavour. From shakshuka to veggie curries, polenta chips to beany humous the menu comes with a fabulous wine list - as well a pizza oven - and crayons galore - to shut the kids up. Give it a go.

IT'S TIME YOU WENT WILD ABOUT WYLDE MARKET
This is my kind of market. Ultra-seasonal, produce coming direct from artisanal producers, items like scallops, skate, monkfish and langoustines and a business that is only online and only only open on Wednesdays, 7am to 7pm and where the early birds get in to bag the tastiest stuff. Subscribe to get the weekly heads-up. And, yes - do thank me for it - if you use code SITWELL at checkout you'll get a whopping
20% off..

SITWELL'S FREE SPRING WINE TASTING AT ROOKS NEST FARM
Word to the South-West sippers. Join me at Rooks Nest Farm, at the barn where I hold my legendary Sitwell Supper Clubs, for a free wine-tasting on Friday May 5 from 4pm-8pm. Glug your way through rosé, white, red and sparkling and get your wine cellar, cupboard or fridge rack ready for spring. Make an afternoon of it with our gorgeous snacks (and carving lessons from Savernake knives) and enjoy a right royal sippethon!
FIRST GLIMPSE OF FORTNUM & MASON'S FUTURISTIC
FOOD & DRINK STUDIO
This week retailer Fortnum & Mason tilted to the future and unveiled its 3rd Floor Food & Drink studio at its Piccadilly HQ. Unveiling a high-tech kitchen and studio, with a back-of-house control room enabling live broadcasts, there's also a new cook and book store. The space will host events, from intimate counter dinners to cooking masterclasses and features one of the world's first domestic hydroponic towers. The device is designed and built in Bath and, aside from being a living sculpture, enables the growing, from seedlings, of the likes of salad leaves to even rosemary, using artificial lights, water and nutrients in indoor domestic settings.
The Food & Drink studio also features its own distillery! In the corner of the 3rd floor space you'll find two copper stills making Fortum's very own gins: Amalthea Dry and Amalthea Pink.
Check out the videos I took and then go and see for yourself! Find out more info below on the launch and how to buy your own domestic hydroponic tower!
